Chef alexander smalls
Founder of Alkebulan, Alexander Smalls is a James Beard Award-winning chef, author, and raconteur as well as the visionary co-owner of renowned restaurants, The Cecil and Minton’s.
Hand-selected by chef Alexander Smalls, each chef, artist, and musician will play their part in re-educating the world in African experiences through a series of bespoke concepts under one roof. With a number of concepts in Alkebulan inspired by Chef Alexander’s previous restaurants, and some designed in partnership, all were born from his idea of creating the first African Dining Hall.

Regarded as one of the leading chefs in France, chef Pierre is an imperative part and original member of the huge Parisian Bistronomic movement that changed the French food scene. His creativity and know-how demonstrates his cultural mix in the cuisine inspired by French techniques and African products and seasonings.

Trained in the gastronomic excellence of French techniques at Ferrandi, and validated by his starred peers, chef Moos Akougbe quickly made a name for himself having featured at some of the most noted hotels and restaurants around the world before he shot to fame in 2020 with his debut on the UK show Bake Off: The Professionals.
